Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

✔ Resides in Morinville or nearby Sturgeon County communities
✔ Experience in caregiving, disability support, senior care, or equivalent informal caregiving
✔ Physically capable of hands-on mobility assistance and transfers
✔ Valid Alberta driver’s license
✔ Daily access to a reliable, insured personal vehicle
✔ Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check(reimbursed upon hire)
✔ Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent availability
✔ Comfortable working independently in a client’s home

Compensation & Benefits

$18.50 – $25.00 per hour (based on experience, availability, and demonstrated competence)

Overview

Faith & Serenity Care Group is a values-driven home care agency providing compassionate, person-centered support to seniors and adults living with disabilities in Morinville and surrounding Sturgeon County communities.

We are currently hiring local caregivers to support a client requiring hands-on personal care and mobility assistance in a private home setting. This role is best suited for someone seeking consistent, local hours and a meaningful client relationship.

Formal healthcare certification is not requiredPaid training is provided, including:

  • WHMIS
  • Infection Prevention & Control
  • Elder Abuse Awareness
  • Safe Client Handling & Transfers
  • Cultural Competency
  • Client-Specific Care Orientation
  • Medication reminders (non-medical only)

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, hygiene)
  • Provide hands-on mobility support, transfers, and repositioning
  • Prepare simple meals according to client preferences
  • Provide companionship and social engagement
  • Perform light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, tidying)
  • Provide reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines
  • Complete basic care documentation (training provided)
  • Communicate professionally with the client, family, and care team
  • Provide local transportation when required (mileage reimbursed)
